Designed with Aurèle Sack whilst working as his assistant. A monograph of the Swiss artist/designer/educator Pierre Keller. The strong use of colour throughout the book reflects Kellers flamboyant personality, from the blue cover and striking yellow end papers, to the text, which is printed in Pantone purple. Each section within the book is divided with a full bleed crop taken from Keller’s Polaroids, creating another flowing use of colour. The typography inside is clean, yet fresh, stemming from Keller’s roots in Swiss design and systems.
The book stems from a state-funded research project headed by Lionel Bovier, following this trajectory it gathers together for the first time exhaustive documentation of Keller’s work. Including newly commissioned essays by Elisabeth Lebovici, Stéphanie Moisdon, Eric Troncy, and François Rappo, among others, it offers an overview of his professional career.
